CCCTC ‘s September Student of the Month

LISBON - Alee Keyes is the Columbiana County Career and Technical Center's September Student of the Month.
Alee is a full-day senior from Leetonia High School and is enrolled in the Health Academy (HA) Program under the instruction of Pamela Dawson. She is a member of the SkillsUSA Chapter at the CCCTC.
During her junior year at the CCCTC, Alee earned her State Tested Nurse Aide certification and is also CPR and First Aid certified. Currently she is working on becoming a certified Patient Care Technician (PCT) and will take the Phlebotomy course next semester to become a certified Phlebotomist.
Alee worked at McDonald's for two years, but more recently has put the STNA license she obtained to use by working at Windsor House at St. Mary's Alzheimer's Center.
Alee is a member of the Leetonia basketball team and intends to participate in the CCCTC work-based learning program at the conclusion of basketball season. Her future plans are to obtain her PCT license, to enroll in the CCCTC Adult Education program to earn her LPN, and eventually obtain an RN degree, which will help her achieve her long-term goal of becoming a travel nurse.
Alee stated "The CCCTC was a great choice for me because it allowed me to get a head start on my nursing career."
Alee was nominated by Pamela Dawson, who stated "Alee is a wonderful student, very conscientious and hard working. She is extremely busy outside of school with work and extracurricular activities. Instead of making excuses about being busy and not having time to complete her work, Alee is diligent and uses her time wisely in class and gets her work turned in early. Alee demonstrates an unwavering commitment to her studies and has a passion for learning and doing her best. She is a valued employee and carries these same characteristics over to her work place. It is apparent how passionate she is about her job and in providing the best care possible to her residents. I look forward to watching Alee on this journey as she continues to mature and grow into a remarkable young lady."
Alee is the daughter of Courtney Board and Darren Keyes.
