Port Authority special meeting
The Columbiana County Port Authority will hold a special board meeting at noon Friday at the new Global Investment Hub, Leetonia Industrial Building, 600 Cherry Fork, Leetonia. The purpose of the meeting will be to approve a services agreement and a construction agreement. No other action will be taken.
BWD boil advisory
The Buckeye Water District has issued a boil advisory due to another line break for the following areas: West Point, state Route 518, state Route 45 from state Route 518 to the Columbia County Career and Technical Center, and anyone else that experienced no water pressure.
TOPS 1341
GLENMOOR - Tops 1341 met Oct. 23 at the Glenmoor Presbyterian Church with Leader Darlene Naukam presiding. Drawing winners were Calorie Chart Mary Gailey, Weight Loss Judy McComas. Junk Food Dorothy Garn and 50/50 Becky Andrews.
Chris Plunkett won the Check Contest and also held the Travel Box for week 2.
Cathy Wollam read an article entitled "Stress and The 70-Year-Old Body," which explains how stress causes increased cortisol levels and inflammation.
The meeting ended with The Lord's Prayer.
