Wellsville Main Street paving
The paving of Main Street in Wellsville between Third and Ninth Streets will begin Oct. 11. There is to be no parking on Main Street between Third and Ninth streets until the work is completed. Vehicles parked in this area before work is completed will be towed at the owner's expense.
Needhams of Murfreesboro, Tenn.
The Needhams of Murfreesboro, Tenn., will be featured in concert at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 14 at the Carrollton Bible Chapel, 365 Steubenville Road SE, Carrollton. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. With the combined talents of singing, songwriting and instrumentation, the Needhams move ahead with optimism using bluegrass and southern gospel. A lover offering will be taken during the intermission, as well as door prizes given away. Two canned goods are requested for admission, which will be donated to the Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry in Carrollton. Algonquin Mill Fall Festival
The Algonquin Mill Fall Festival is scheduled for Oct. 13, 14 and 15, offering festival-goers a steam-powered flour mill, pioneer village and homemade foods including apple butter, sauerkraut, cookies and bean soup. Kids can visit the petting zoo, have their faces painted and ride the kiddy train. Live entertainment on stage will include cloggers, bluegrass bands, vocal groups and more. Juried craft vendors and antique cars will be on-site. Festival hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The mill complex is located 4 miles south of Carrollton on state Route 332. ELHSAA drive thru dinner
The next East Liverpool High School Alumni Association (ELHSAA) drive thru dinner will take place from 4 to 6 p.m., Oct. 19. For $12, the meal will include spaghetti, meatballs, salad and dessert. Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes
Covenant Presbyterian Church, 401 18th St., Wellsville, will once again be a drop off location for Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes. Operation Christmas Child, a project of Samaritan's Purse, along with local partners, pack shoeboxes filled with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies and deliver them to under-privileged children around the world. Operation Christmas is celebrating 30 years and has delivered over 200 million shoebox gifts. In addition to bringing great joy to millions of boys and girls in need, gifts are accompanied by the Good News of Jesus Christ. Drop-off days will be: Wednesday, Oct. 26, noon to 3 p.m.; Tuesday, Oct. 3, from 4 to 7 p.m.; Tuesday, Nov. 7, from 2 to 4 p.m.; and any Sunday through Nov. 12 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
