Lincoln Park Subscription Series
Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center in Midland opens the 2023-2024 Clearview Federal Credit Union Subscription Series, Larger Than Life! with its first production of the season - Catch Me if You Can the Musical, performed in the MainStage Theater Oct. 6-8 and 13-15. Based on the incredible true story of Frank Abagnale Jr., and the 2002 Steven Spielberg film of the same name, this high-flying musical comedy opened on Broadway in 2011 and was nominated for four Tony Awards including Best Musical. With infectious music penned by the team behind Hairspray (Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman) and dazzling production numbers, this musical comedy captures this larger-than-Life story. Buckeye Water District meeting
The Buckeye Water District finance meeting has been rescheduled to 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Buckeye Water District Office, 1925 Clark Ave. Wellsville.
Southern Local Jr. Class Car Show
The Southern Local High School Class of 2025 will host the second-annual Jr. Class Car Show from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the junior/senior high school, 38095 state Route 39. The rain date is set for Sept. 30. The event is sponsored by Stratton Chevrolet and will include door prizes, trophies, a DJ, food, 50-50 raffle and Chinese auction. The registration fee is by donation and dash plaques will be given to the first 50 registered. Advisor Kimberly Adams said the junior class moneymaker was successful in its inaugural year and she hopes for another great turnout. "Jesse's Grill will be onsite and cars will be of all years, makes and models," Adams said. "All proceeds support the Southern Local Junior Class and we are raising funds for their junior/senior prom," Adams added. "Last year, the Class of 2024 had funds leftover to carry to their senior year. They were able to go into this year not having to worry about fundraising and focus on their senior year." Additional class sponsors include Jesse's Grill, B & S Country Carryout, Crews Home Improvements LLC, Stan Cunningham Inc. and Terminator X.
Shared Blessings Luncheon
Shared Blessings Luncheon at St John Lutheran Church, 400 Hill Blvd., East Liverpool, will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 25. The luncheon is now dine-in only; there will be no drive-thru service and no carry-outs.
