Columbiana County Auditor's sale
The 2023 Columbiana County Auditor's sale will be held at 10 a.m. Sept. 21 in the Columbiana County Commissioner's meeting room on the first floor of the county court house at 105 S. Market St., Lisbon. The listing of the properties, along with the rules and regulations, is available at http://oh-columbiana-auditor.publicaccessnow.com/. They have also been listed in the Sept. 14 edition of the Morning Journal newspaper under the 'Legals" section of the classifieds. Lists, pictures and maps may be viewed at the County Auditor's Office on the first floor of the courthouse. Buyers are warned that it is their responsibility to do any research on the forfeited properties prior to the sale and to be aware of exactly what they are buying.
New Cumberland
Lions Club pulled pork
The New Cumberland Lions Club will be selling pulled pork sandwiches - provided by Hale's High Street Kitchen at Franco's - for $7 at the New Cumberland Fall River Fest Sept. 23 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sept. 24 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sides offered will be potato salad and baked beans at $1 each. Bottled water and soda will available for $1. This will be the final pulled pork takeout for 2023. The Lions Club will also be raffling off several items, including a Blackstone Pizza Oven and an American Girl Steeler Fan Doll package. Tickets for the pizza oven will be $5 a ticket or $20 for five tickets. Tickets for the American Girl package will be $1 a ticket or $5 for six tickets. Tickets will be available at the Lions Club table and the drawing will be Sunday afternoon. Winner need not be present to win. All proceeds will be used to fund Lions Club projects.

The Wellsville Alumni Activities Committee Spaghetti Dinner will be held from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Sept. 20 at the alumni center. Carryout only; walk in orders accepted as well. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. To order call 330-532-9811.
OSU Extension youth careers at local businesses
OSU Extension (4-H Youth Development) is offering a program for all county youth ages 8 to 18 to explore careers at local businesses. Sept. 23 from 9 to 11 a.m. youth can visit Kast Iron Soda Works in Salem to tour the business and learn about entrepreneurship; and Oct. 21 from 9 to 11 a.m. youth can visit Woolf Farms in Salem to take a farm tour and learn about agriculture in the community and careers around agriculutre.
