NEW PHILADELPHIA - The following construction projects are anticipated to affect highways in Columbiana County in the coming weeks. All outlined work is weather permitting.
U.S. Route 30 resurfacing in East Liverpool: Work is underway to resurface a four-mile section of U.S. Route 30 through the city of East Liverpool to the EXIT for State Route 170. During construction, one lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction. The completion date is Oct. 31.
State Route 7 southbound slide repair near Wellsville: Work is underway to repair a slide along the southbound lanes of state Route 7 near Wellsville. During construction one lane of traffic will be maintained at all times with a 12-foot width restriction. The completion date is July 31.
East Lincoln Street Connector Trail Project: Work is underway to install a bike and pedestrian trail along state Route 154 in Lisbon. Throughout the project, traffic may be maintained via flaggers when necessary. The completion date is Sept. 30.
City of Salem – State Route 14 closed for culvert replacement project: State Route 14 is closed for 45 days from State Street to U.S. Route 62. The detour is State Street west to U.S. Route 62, and reverse. The completion date is Oct. 31.
City of Salem – State Route 344 (Franklin Avenue) closure: State Route 344 (Franklin Avenue) is closed to traffic for 190 days for a project to rehabilitate concrete pavement via repair and replacement along a stretch of Franklin Avenue (state Route 344) from South Lincoln Avenue to Southeast Boulevard. Non-local traffic is detoured via Southeast Boulevard to State Street, State Street to Lincoln Avenue, and reverse. The completion date for the entire project is Oct. 31.
AKRON - The following construction projects are anticipated to affect highways in Mahoning County next week. All outlined work is weather permitting.
State Route 165 resurfacing in Goshen and Green townships:
Beginning Monday, the following locations will be reduced to one lane maintained by a traffic signal for bridge repairs:
- State Route 165 between state Route 14 and Seacrist Rd.
-State Route 165 between Beaver Creek Road and U.S. 62.
Estimated completion date is late July.
