Career Parade
Allison Elementary School in Chester will hold a Career Parade at 9 a.m. May 19 with local businesses and the vehicles that represent them. Vehicles will line Carolina Avenue and travel through the school parking lot for the students. There will be a Touch-a-Truck event for the students immediately following the parade at Chester City Park. No food or candy items are permitted to distribute, but other items such as pencils, fidget spinners, crayons, etc. are permissible. For information contact school counselor Carrie Six at ATA. Stamp Out Hunger
The National Association of Letter Carriers is once again holding is Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive Saturday. Residents can fill a bag with healthy, non-perishable food items and place it by their mailboxes. Letter carriers will pick the bags up and deliver them to food banks and pantries in the area.
