'Pennies for Paws'
Community sites to make donations to "Pennies for Paws" are located across the county where pennies can be dropped off as part of the Columbiana County Humane Society's annual drive. Donation canisters are available at the Pitstop in Salineville, the concession stand at Dickey fields in Lisbon, Mike's Penn Ave Grille in Salem, the 730 Superette on state Route 7 just north of state Route 11 and Dogs on the Run in East Palestine. The drive ends May 10 and all donations made at a community site will go toward the home school total. Prizes will be awarded to local schools based on contribution amounts. Any business interested in helping out can do so by calling the humane society in Salem at 234-575-7177. A container and materials will be delivered.
Senior Health Market
Myers Family Insurance is partnering with Catholic Charities at 600 E. 4th St., East Liverpool, to host a Senior Wellness Health Market from 11 a.m. to noon May 25. Local health and wellness providers will offer information, giveaways, games and prizes.
TOPS 1957
Tops 1957 of Wellsville met April 25 at the Living Well Church with leader Donna Lee opening the
meeting with pledges and roll call. Mary Schmidt then led the group in prayer.
Tops best loser was Barb M., Kops best loser was Alice Eckstein and Barb M. wore the officer's ribbon. The dimes will be carried over and Barb M. won the 50/50 drawing.
The No-no is chocolate and pizza.
Next week for the puzzle contest Mary Jarvis said all members are to do something kind and also lose a quarter of a pound.
Members were reminded not toforget to get measured next week.
