Stage Left Players to host Celebration of the Arts

Stage Left Players will host a Celebration of the Arts at 7 p.m. Saturday as they culminate the NEA Big Read of Andrew Krivak's The Bear. Commissioned artist Gail Trunick will lead the event with the unveiling of her large sculpture. Featured artists include Ann Cloutier, Jodine Pilmer, Mark Hamilton, Christine Martin, Tessa Young, Kandy Cleland as well as students from David Anderson High School and the Keep You In Stitches Quilters. These artists will share their responses to their reading through dance, music, storytelling, visual art, sculpture and quilting.
The event will conclude with a drawing for The Bear Quilt created in August of 2022 by the Keep You In Stitches Quilters. The winner will be drawn from the names of those attending the Celebration and anyone who has participated in events since the September 2022 Kick Off. This event is free to the community.
