The Calcutta Rotary Club met Thursday at the Peter Metrovich Community Center where Beaver Local students Cole Jarvis and Lauren Piscitelli were introduced as the guest speakers. Cole and Lauren were selected to represent Beaver Local High School at the Rotary Youth Leadership (RYLA) Conference. RYLA is an intensive leadership experience organized by Rotary clubs and districts where students develop and improve their skills as a leader through experiencing discussions, speakers and social activities all while having fun.
The students thanked the Calcutta Rotary Club for sponsoring them and spoke about their experience at the event and friendships that were forged.
Calcutta Rotary meets each Thursday at 7:30 a.m. and welcomes new members who would like to get involved in the community.
