Benefit dinner for CCCTC student
A benefit pasta luncheon will be held for Samuel Harding, an East Palestine senior attending the Columbiana County Career and Technical Center, from noon to 2 p.m. at the career center. The luncheon will be cooked and served by the students at the CCCTC. No carry outs. Samuel has faced many medical complications since birth resulting in multiple surgeries and treatments during his 18 years of life. On Feb 2 he passed out and hit his head while at the CCCTC. He had emergency brain surgery with a grim outlook due to the severe brain bleed and fractured skull. The surgery was successful and he returned home five days later. His care continues as doctors evaluate his low heart rate as the cause of his fainting.
Renewal Trio in Hanoverton
The Renewal Trio, a gospel group from Northeast Ohio, will perform at Bethesda Presbyterian Church, 13461 Bethesda Road, Hanoverton, at 10 a.m. Sunday. The group is comprised of husband and wife team Donnie and Linda Abraham, and Becky Vignon.
HCCEOS Paint 'n' Sip
The Hancock County Senior Services Center will be the venue for a Paint 'n' Snack event, hosted by the Hancock County Community Educational Outreach Service, at 6 p.m. May 20. The cost will be $35 and includes all materials and snacks. Sally Cain of Paint Safari will be leading the session. Examples of her work can be found on Paint Safari's Facebook page. Attendance is limited to 25, RSVP required. Contact the Hancock County Extension Office at 304-564-3805 to register and arrange payment.
