ELHS Alumni ham loaf dinner

Reservations are now being accepted for the East Liverpool High School Alumni Association's drive thru ham loaf dinner on April 20. Call Sue Furman at 330-385-0403 or John Aikens at 330-386-5929 to make a reservation by noon April 17. Leave a message, if no answer. The meal will include ham loaf, cheesy potatoes, green beans and a brownie for $12. Pick up times are from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, April 20.

EL Finance and Utilities meeting

Chairmen C. Fred Rayl and Brian Kerr have called a combined meeting of the East Liverpool Finance and Utilities committees for 5 p.m. Tuesday in council chambers. The Finance Committee will consider passing on to the full city council legislation for the Dresden Avenue paving project, as requested by Planning Director William Cowan. The Utilities Committee will take up discussions regarding water intake, solar panel installation plans at the water treatment plant, Incinerator Department issues and the purchase and selling of equipment. City council will hold a special meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday to consider the Dresden Avenue paving project.

Choose To Lose Group meeting

Choose To Lose Group met at Boyce Church on April 11 with co -leader Dottie Seevers presiding.

The meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by Choose To Lose Group roll call.

Pam Fouse gave the secretary report and Cassy Stephens gave the treasurer's report. Both were approved as read.

Wanda Price was the biggest loser. Seevers was the officer biggest loser. Jerry Kontnier won the charts and 50/50. Dimes were won by Jean Ferrebee. No Nos are chocolate, cookies and no eating after 6 p.m. Leeway members are Ferrebee and Seevers. New numbers were drawn for the No Fibbing Contest.

Coming up Birthday is Jo Ann Berresford.

Fouse read an article on "That's Irritating (Eyes)."

The meeting closed with prayer request followed by the Lord's Prayer.

New and former members are always welcome at 11 a.m. on Tuesdays.
