Port Authority special meeting
The Columbiana County Port Authority will hold a special meeting at 10 a.m. Tuesday by telephone conference call for the approval of two notices of award for the Maritime Assistance Program Grant. No other action will be taken. Anyone wishing to attend the meeting must call the port authority office at 330-424-1800 x2 by noon Monday to request call-in instructions
Stress management support group
For those who would like more information about dealing with stress, a Stress Management Support Group will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. each Wednesday from April 18 through June 20 at the East Palestine First United Presbyterian Church, 109 Rebecca St. Clinician Vicki Ritterspach, LPCC, and Paige Fortner plan to to create a safe space for residents of East Palestine to explore the stress they're feeling and provide practical tools to move forward with a little more peace each day. These meetings are open to the public and are offered free of charge by the Columbiana County Mental Health and Recovery Services Board, in partnership with the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, through an Emergency Response Grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. Benefit dinner for Mary Daniels
There will be a benefit dinner/party for Mary Daniels from 5:30 to 8 p.m. tonight at the SOI in Wellsville. There are several gift baskets to be raffled off and a costume contest for the best costume supporting Breast Cancer Awareness, and a DJ will be present. Daniels will be having surgery for a double mastectomy and treatments will also follow.
