Shared Blessings Lunch

St. John Lutheran Church, 400 Hill Blvd., East Liverpool, will host its Shared Blessings Luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The meal is dine in only. There will be no drive thru service or carry outs.

Food pantry canceled

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the East Liverpool Emmanuel Presbyterian Church's food pantry has been canceled for April 15. The next pantry distribution is scheduled for May 20.

Kent State Earth Day

The 2023 Kent State East Liverpool Earth Day Environmental Justice Conference will be held April 22 with the theme "Cleaning Up Toxic Waste and Chemical Spills in Our Communities: Corporate and Government Responsibilities." The conference will be held from noon to 3 p.m. in Purinton Hall, located at 400 E. Fourth St. The free event is open to the public. The keynote speaker for the conference is David Emerman, chief of Ohio's Environmental Protection Agency's Northeast District Office. The event will highlight student research projects presented in written and poster formats that focus on a variety of environmental justice issues. Winners of the competition will be announced at the end of the conference. Dr. Brad Bielski, interim dean and CAO of the East Liverpool Campus, will give an opening address followed by a presentation on the history of the Earth Day Conference. Fire hydrant flush

The Buckeye Water District will be flushing fire hydrants in the Village of Wellsville. This will start Monday morning April 17, 2023 at the north end of the Village, proceeding to the south end of the Village and continue until all of the hydrants have been flushed.
