Spring Spree Raffle Grand Prize
Yellow Brick Place Cancer Wellness Center will hold its Spring Spree 2023 Raffle Grand Prize Drawing at noon April 20. The grand prizes are $2,023, $1,523 and $1,023. An Early Bird drawing will be held at noon April 13 for a $500 Coach gift card and a wallet. Tickets can be purchased at https://yellowbrickplace.org/donate/ or call the office at 234-228-9550 for tickets. The mission of Yellow Brick Place is to offer support and education to cancer patients and those closest to them by providing individual and group services in the tri-county area of Mahoning, Trumbull, and Columbiana Counties. All services are offered free of charge and are non-medical. All donations stay local and go toward providing services free of cost to anyone who needs help. Grow a Butterfly Garden
The Beaver Creek Wildlife Education Center will host a program on how to Grow a Butterfly Garden from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. May 6 under the pavilion. Guests will learn how to plant a garden that attracts butterflies and other pollinators, which plants host the different stages of these beneficial and beautiful creatures, where to purchase plants locally, how to collect seeds, and how to plant them. Participants will receive some sample plants and seeds. This activity is suitable for adults and children over the age of 12. Space is limited.
