Factory Connection opens in Calcutta

CALCUTTA -- The Factory Connection discount store held a ribbon cutting recently to debut its new location in the Walmart Plaza.

The store specializes in providing the latest fashion apparel for customers in small-to medium-size markets.

With a nice selection of merchandise in sizes ranging from juniors to plus sized, the store also carries a variety of shoes, accessories and home decor items in addition to its top brand fashions. Buying from the industry's leading fashion manufacturers allows Factory Connection to offer name brand and specialty store fashions at prices that are 25 to 70 below regular retail with shipments twice a week, the store said in a press release.

Lisa Nisbet, the chain's district manager, explains, "Our customers know that frequent shopping pays big dividends."

Founded by the late Terry Scott (1948-2016) and Kenny Littleton, the family-owned company has grown into a regional retail leader with nearly 300 stores across 16 states. Today the business is led by president and CEO Steve Williams, along with an experienced team of professionals including executive managers, merchandisers, buyers, operations and regional managers, and store personnel.

The company currently serves markets in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and West Virginia. Factory Connection is able to support its network of stores from a state-of-the-art, 70,000 distribution center located at the Guntersville, Ala., corporate headquarters.
