MPI employees donate to SRMC Foundation

SALEM — Every December, the Pre-Press department at MPI® Label Systems in Sebring conducts a Christmas Bake Sale and “Giving Tree” on behalf of an area charity. This year, the MPI staff donated $466.15 and several personal care items collected through their fundraising activities to Salem Regional Medical Center’s (SRMC) Foundation to benefit SRMC’s Patient Boutique and patients undergoing breast cancer treatment locally at SRMC.

According to Amy Reed, SRMC Director of Development, proceeds from these annual fundraisers are donated to an organization selected by MPI’s Pre-Press staff. Salem Regional Medical Center was chosen as this year’s recipient by MPI employee Peggy Sanor, and the gift was presented in honor of Peggy’s sister, Mary, who lost her battle with breast cancer 30 years ago.

“We are truly grateful to Peggy and the entire staff at MPI Label Systems’ Sebring plant for their generous contributions to support SRMC’s breast cancer services and Patient Boutique,” Reed said. “The funds and items donated will have a meaningful impact on local oncology patients receiving cancer care at SRMC.”

The SRMC Foundation raises funds to support patient services and programs at SRMC, with 100 percent of all proceeds used to benefit area patients. Area organizations interested in sponsoring a fundraiser to benefit the SRMC Foundation can call 330-337-2883 or e-mail foundation@salemregional.com.
