Salem Regional Medical Center employee Mark Zocolo was awarded an American Red Cross 10 gallon pin on July 12, for donating a total of 80 units of blood to the organization. Because of his donations, 320 people received lifesaving blood components. The American Red Cross is currently facing a critical blood shortage.
