Calcutta JCPenney receives company honor
PLANO, Texas -- J.C. Penney Company Inc. recently honored its top performing stores with the Founder's Award at a special ceremony March 28 at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas.
With more than 1,000 JCPenney stores across the country, General Manager Conrad Bufalini was one of more than 85 store leaders recognized by Marvin R. Ellison, chairman and chief executive officer, and Joe McFarland, executive vice president of stores, for significantly contributing to the company's success during 2016.
"Our Founder's Award recipients continually exceed expectations and achieve results that instill a strong sense of pride among their associate teams and the communities they serve," said McFarland. "Leaders and teams receiving this award have gone above and beyond the call of duty by taking our Warrior values of passion, loyalty, service and courage to an entirely new level.
"I'm proud of our talented group of associates at the JCPenney in East Liverpool who have worked tirelessly to receive this special recognition."
The Founder's Award is presented to general and district managers for leading teams that excel in the areas of financial performance, customer and client service, and business expertise.
Insurer honors broker for top sales
COLUMBIANA -- The average insurance agent sells seven Medicare Advantage and prescription drug plans during the open enrollment period each year.
During the 2016 open enrollment period, Greg Arcuri, vice president of Arcuri & Associates in Columbiana, sold 48 or more Aetna or Coventry health care Medicare individual applications earning him the 2017 Front Runner award from Aetna.
The award establishes Arcuri as "one of Aetna's best brokers and top producers." It is the fourth year out of the last five that Arcuri had received the award. Aetna will provide special awards, recognition and extra support to demonstrate its appreciation for Arcuri's efforts.
The Arcuri & Associates Insurance Brokerage Agency is an employee, employer benefit consultant and brokerage firm that sells benefit products and advises clients.
It was incorporated in May of 1996 and entered the employee benefit field in 1971 in East Liverpool.
Today, Arcuri & Associates has corporate offices in Boardman and Columbiana. The Columbiana office is located at 400 W. Railroad St. and the two offices serve eastern Ohio and western Pa.
Arcuri & Associates has more than 75 years of experience and the agency "has always been at the forefront of group benefit needs."
"To ensure our clients receive the best service possible we have made alliances with regional and national companies and carriers," the company said on its website.
Two large regional brokerage firms it contracted with include Express Link and Cornerstone, both located in Independence, Ohio.
Arcuri & Associations is licensed with most national carriers and ACA certified as well and sells Medicare, life insurance, group insurance and retirement investment plans.
Nogay named 'super lawyer'
WEIRTON -- Mike Nogay of Weirton was named to the 2017 edition of Virginia-West Virginia Super Lawyers, according to Thomson Reuters news agency. Nogay also was named to the list in 2009 and 2014.
According to Thomson Reuters, selections to Super Lawyers are made "by a patented process that includes an initial nomination by other attorneys, independent evaluation by third-party research, and peer evaluation by a highly-credentialed Blue Ribbon panel of attorneys." Final selections are limited to no more than 5 percent of the lawyers in West Virginia.
Nogay received his undergraduate education at West Virginia University, where he graduated magna cum laude and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. Nogay then earned his law degree from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Va., where he was a Benedum Academic Scholar. While in law school, Nogay volunteered to provide free legal aid to female federal prisoners at the Alderson Federal Correctional Institute for Women, and drove nearly 200 miles round-trip on each visit to the prison.
Nogay has practiced law for 34 years and has tried cases before juries in West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Ohio. His primary focus is on wrongful death and personal injury cases and medical malpractice litigation. Nogay also maintains an extensive criminal practice in federal and state courts. Nogay has served as Special Disciplinary Counsel for the West Virginia State Bar and as a special prosecutor in Ohio County. He was named by Governor Caperton to the first State Ethics Commission.
Nogay resides in the Weirton area with his wife of 31 years, Robin. They are the parents of Edward, a third year law student at WVU; Jennifer, a final semester student at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine; and Maximillian, a second year law student at WVU.
Salem Women's Health Partners relocates
COLUMBIANA -- Salem Women's Health Partners (SWHP) has announced the relocation of its Columbiana office to the TownCenter at Firestone Farms, 116 Carriage Drive, Columbiana, effective immediately.
The practice has two locations for obstetric and gynecologic services, and only the Columbiana office has moved to a new address.
Patients scheduled for an appointment in SWHP's Salem office should continue to see their obstetrician/gynecologists in Salem.
