SALEM -- The Salem Regional Medical Center (SRMC) Foundation announced the Home Savings Charitable Foundation as a $3,000 "Star of Hope" sponsor for its 7th annual Hearts & Stars Gala, held March 18.

In addition to serving as a top Gala sponsor for the second straight year, the Home Savings Charitable Foundation has also donated to the Foundation's capital campaign benefiting the hospital's oncology expansion project.

"The Home Savings Charitable Foundation is a valued community partner and we are truly grateful for its continued support of SRMC and our patients," said Anita Hackstedde, M.D., SRMC's president/CEO.

Nearly 280 guests attended the Gala, which raised more than $50,000 to support SRMC's mission to serve the region's health care needs through state-of-the-art facilities and services. Forty area businesses, organizations and community members were sponsors for the Gala.

In addition, proceeds from the sale of the jewelry and ornaments benefit the Salem Regional Medical Center Foundation and future growth at SRMC. For additional information, call SRMC's Development Office at 330-337-2895.
