ESC receives donation from Home Savings Charitable Foundation

YOUNGSTOWN -- Home Savings Charitable Foundation has donated $1,350 to the Columbiana County Educational Service Center (CCESC). The funds were used to sponsor the Columbiana County Youth Leadership Summit.
The Columbiana County Youth Leadership Summit was held Oct. 21 at Kent State-Salem. It provided 8th and 9th grade students with leadership workshops that will help them plan and implement community service projects during the 2016-17 school year. Six local school districts participated, with 74 students in attendance. The event included a presentation by Rachel Darroch,of Rustic Pathways Foundation, and interactive sessions taught by the Effective Leadership Academy, courtesy of Home Saving's sponsorship.
"The Summit is an opportunity for students to collaborate, and have a voice in shaping our community. We are grateful that Home Savings has made a contribution to this youth-led endeavor." said Danielle Dillon, coordinator, CCESC.
"We're proud to be able to support the Columbiana County Educational Service Center and the Columbiana County Youth Leadership Summit," said Trish Mohan, interim director, Home Savings Charitable Foundation. "The group does so much to inspire and prepare our leaders of tomorrow."
