CHESTER--True North LLP, a business and operations services outsourcing firm based in Chester, has announced the promotion of Drew Cooper to vice president of operations.

Cooper, of East Liverpool, will be responsible for all day-to-day functions of the Bookkeeping and Operations Services teams, as well as service, quality, compliance and continuous improvement. He will report to True North President Charles Bailey.

"True North's mission is to help small businesses get started and grow. Drew will help us achieve that mission," Bailey said.

Cooper is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and had a career in the Navy before founding and operating his own residential remodeling business for 10 years. He went on to earn a master's in engineering management from George Washington University.

"Drew joined True North in December of 2014 and has gained tremendous experience and knowledge of our business over the past two years," Bailey said. "He has consistently demonstrated the values and leadership attributes I expect from our team, and I look forward to Drew helping us through our next phase of growth."

Bailey said the company is focusing its expansion on the energy and chemical sectors, which will "drive economic growth that has not been seen in our region since the dawn of the steel age."

Cooper also is chairman of the East Liverpool Community Partnership for Revitalization. He and his wife, Tamar Cooper, have four children.

Founded in 2012, True North provides business advisory, bookkeeping and operations services to small and mid-sized businesses.
