Hospital Auxiliary purchases cardiac equipment

1 min read

EAST LIVERPOOL – The East Liverpool City Hospital Auxiliary recently purchased cardiac equipment to assist the hospital in promoting and advancing the health and well-being of local residents.

Purchased items included a recumbent stepper as well as a recumbent bike. Collectively, these equipment purchases would have been more than a $7,000 investment for the hospital.

“Now, thanks to the commitment and dedication from our auxiliary, general funds can be utilized to prepare for future growth of the hospital’s operations,” said Keith Richardson, chief executive officer at the hospital.

Since 1934, the Auxiliary has maintained a strong presence in the community. A driving force behind fundraising efforts, the Auxiliary facilitates various projects throughout the year to generate money for new equipment purchases and other capital projects for the hospital.

In the last year, the Auxiliary hosted a “Putting for Progress” event as well as an Academy Awards-themed luncheon. Both fundraising events were held at the East Liverpool Country Club. Proceeds generated at these events were used to purchase the new additions to the cardiac department.

The next event being planned by the Auxiliary is the Quarter Auction, scheduled Oct. 25 at the County Club. For ticket information, you can call 330-386-2003.
