Catherine and Matthew English
COLUMBUS — The Rev. Peter Haladej presided over the exchange of vows between Catherine Carney and Matthew English during their wedding ceremony at 1 p.m. Oct. 20, 2018 at Holy Family Parish in Poland. A reception followed at Mr. Anthony’s Banquet Hall.
The bride wore an ivory lace gown with a classic column silhouette. It was designed with off-the-shoulder sheer lace sleeves, a deep sweetheart neckline, and a cathedral length train finished with organic edged lace. The gown was accented with an ivory fingertip length veil.
Carolyn Carney, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids, wearing long burgundy gowns, were Allison English, sister of the groom; Anna Reed; Annalise Walkama; Vivien Clayton; Emma Buzas; and Taylor Conrad.
The groom’s brother, Evan English, served as best man, and groomsmen were Zack Cowan; Quintin Steele; Greg Munoz; Patrick Carney, brother of the bride; Michael Carney, brother of the bride; and Stephen Carney, brother of the bride.
The bride is the daughter of Michael and Susan Carney of Poland. She graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree and University of Cincinnati College of Law with a Juris Doctor degree. She is an Assistant Attorney General at the Ohio Attorney General’s Office in Columbus.
The groom is the son of Mark and Mary English of East Liverpool. He graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. He is employed as a Project Engineer at AutoTool, Inc. in Plain City, Ohio.
The couple resides in Columbus.
