Mr. and Mrs. Thomas and Megan McNear
LISBON – Megan Elizabeth Deichler and Thomas L. McNear exchanged wedding vows Aug. 24, 2014 in a 3:30 p.m. ceremony held at the First United Methodist Church.
The bride is the daughter of John and Carol Deichler.
The groom is the son of Sam Alexander of Negley, and Valerie Alexander of Beaver Falls, Pa.
Dr. Richard Parks and Rev. Tina Gallaher officiated at the double ring ceremony on the 39th anniversary of the bride’s parents with music provided by Attila Samu, vocalist, and Jaccie Samu, organist.
Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore an ivory strapless ballgown with a sweetheart neckline, a beaded wrap-over bodice, and a full ruffled skirt. Featuring a lace-up back and a cathedral train, the gown was complimented by a fingertip tulle veil trimmed with beading and crystal and accented by a pearl and crystal headpiece. She carried a jeweled brooch bouquet.
Meredith Deichler, Columbiana, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor, and Lindsey Laret, Alliance, friend of the bride, served as matron of honor in cloudy blue and ivory satin gowns. In matching gowns were Courtney Currin, Oxford, N.C., friend of the bride, bridesmaid, and Hannah Searight, Clinton, Pa., niece of the groom, junior bridemaid. The attendants carried peach hydrangeas. Flower girls were Sydney McNear, East Liverpool, and Kiera McNear, Beaver Falls, Pa., nieces of the groom, in ivory satin dresses with tulle overlay. Honorary bridesmaids included Erika Alexander, East Palestine, Jamie Alexander, Clinton, sisters of the groom, and Ashley McNear, East Liverpool, sister-in-law of the groom.
Jessie McNear, Beaver Falls, and Brad McNear, East Liverpool, brothers of the groom performed the duties of best man. Groomsmen were Buddy Hartge, Valencia, Pa., and Rich Gillen, Rochester, Pa., friends of the groom. Junior groomsman was Logan McNear, Beaver Falls, nephew of the groom and ring bearer was Brady McNear, East Liverpool, nephew of the groom.
A reception for approximately 180 guests followed at the Salem Gold Club. Jodi Lewton, Olive Branch, MS, presided at the guest book. Martha Lewton, Lisbon, created the wedding cake topped with bobble-head runners.
The bride is a graduate of Youngstown State University and Arkansas State University. She is a math teacher at East Palestine High School.
The groom is a graduate of New Castle School of Trades and is a T&D mobile worker of Duquesne Light.
The couple will be taking a delayed honeymoon.
The rehearsal dinner was held at the Chef’s Table.
