Mallorie and Jeremy Plotner

SALEM – Mallorie Lynne Estell and Jeremy Ryan Plotner were united in marriage on May 17 at St. Paul Catholic Church in Salem.

The bride is the daughter of Craig and Deborah Estell of East Rochester. The groom is the son of Greg and Julie Plotner of Dalton.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. The Reverend Father Robert Edwards officiated at the nuptial Mass and music was provided by organist Joe McKim and soloist Morgan Zamarelli. Scripture selections were read by the bride’s aunt Rebecca Guappone and Ryan Petruska.

The bride wore a white lace and tulle A-line wedding dress with a scalloped V-neckline and dropped waist. The gown was designed by Demetrios and featured a pleated wrap bodice and high sheer lace back with covered buttons. The tulle skirt was embellished with beaded lace appliques and featured a chapel length train. Her finger-tip veil was tulle trimmed with beaded lace and accented with a Swarovski crystal headpiece. Her bouquet consisted of fuchsia and pink roses and peonies.

Abigail Steves of Salem, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Dr. Alisha Plotner, sister of the groom of Columbus; Ashley Kennedy of Salem; Michelle Petruska of Boardman; Valerie Rhodes of Cleveland; and Angela Wamsley of Cincinnati. The attendants were attired in pewter gray chiffon dresses with gray lace bodices and carried bouquets of fuchsia and pink roses.

The groom’s brother Nick Plotner of Dalton served as best man. Groomsmen included Treg Steves, the bride’s brother-in-law of Salem; Dr. Mark Tornero, the groom’s brother-in-law of Columbus; Kevin McCullough of Canton; Justin Woodruff of Cuyahoga Falls; and Eric King of Dalton.

The sit-down dinner reception for approximately 180 guests was held at La Pizzeria Crystal Ballroom in North Canton. Special guests were the bride’s grandmother Betty Estell of Lisbon and the groom’s grandmother Dee Plotner of Illinois.

The couple enjoyed a honeymoon in Isla Mujares, Mexico and are residing in Columbus. They are both graduates of Kent State University and are employed in retail management.
