Steeles celebrate 60th anniversary

EAST LIVERPOOL - Mr. and Mrs. Donald Steele, Cannons Mill Road, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Sept. 27. Mr. Steele and his wife, Millie, were married at the First Church of the Nazarene in East Liverpool on Sept. 27, 1956.Mr. Steele is retired from LTV (J&L) Steel in Aliquippa, Pa. Mrs. Steele worked at the former Connell's Candy and Lunch and Hill's Department Store.The couple are the parents of two daughters, Dawn Howley of Columbiana and Tammy Peppel of Salem, and three grandsons.

Wilsons celebrate 60th anniversary

HAMMONDSVILLE - Charles L. and Jo Ann (Hissam) Wilson celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary on Sept. 17, 2016, with a candlelight dinner for two at their home in Hammondsville, and later were joined by a number of their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren for cake and ice cream.

Pughs celebrate 65th anniversary

CHESTER - Barbara and Paul Pugh celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on Sept. 1, 2016. The couple were married in Chester and have been life-long residents of Hancock County. To celebrate the occasion family and friends gathered for a lovely lunch, hosted by nieces Heather Hall and Libby Keller at Mrs. Hall's home.

Swigers celebrate 50th anniversary

NEW CUMBERLAND - Edward and Eileen Swiger of New Cumberland celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Sept. 10, 2016. They were married Sept. 10, 1966 with Chet and Alice Swiger as attendants.They have two children, Stacey Swiger of Wellsville and Stephanie Staley of New Cumberland.Mr. Swiger is retired from Weirton Steel.Mr. and Mrs. Swiger belong to Everyday Church of New Manchester.

Taylors celebrate 60 years

EAST LIVERPOOL - Bob and Karen Taylor of East Liverpool celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Aug. 10, 2016. They were married in East Liverpool in 1956. They have two sons, Dan Taylor of East Liverpool and Randy Taylor of Negley. They have four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

VanDykes celebrate 60 years

WELLSVILLE - Harold and Elaine VanDyke of Wellsville, celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary July 29, 2016. They were married July 29, 1956 at Mrs. VanDyke's parents' home, the late Lawrence and Olive Martin, officiated by the late Rev. James Conrad.The couple are members of the Port Homer Community Church.They were honored by their daughter and son-in-law, Maria and Jeff Ketchum, with an Open House at their home.
