Phil and Audrey Mahers celebrate 65th anniversary

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Phil and Audrey (Bates) Maher recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary with a family dinner in Kalamazoo, Mich. They were married Aug. 12, 1950 in Salineville, Ohio. Phil retired as Superintendent of Wellsville Schools in 1986 and Audrey retired as owner and operator of Audrey’s Beauty Salon in Salineville. After retirement, they spent four years living in Anchorage, Alaska and touring/fishing throughout the state. They returned to Ohio and lived in Massillon, for 24 years before relocating to Kalamazoo, almost two years ago.

They currently enjoy observing wildlife from their waterfront home, sampling new restaurants, watching as many ball games as possible and spending time with their family. They were blessed with two lovely daughters, Sandy Whelan of St. Charles, Ill. and Jeanna Ketchum of Kalamazoo. They have 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

They would enjoy hearing from you and you can send them a note at 7538 Woodbridge Lane Portage, MI 49024.
