Turkey shoots coming soon CHESTER, W.Va. — The Chester-Newell Sportsmen’s Club will hold turkey shoots on Sundays from Jan. 31 through April 12. Sign-ups start at 9:30 a.m. Shoots begin at 10 a.m. Cost is $3 per shot and $5 for the money shoot or you can do all the shoots for $30. WELLSBURG, W.Va. — Beaver Local’s Cole Long was a part of four Class 4A winning events on Friday and Saturday at the Ohio Valley Athletic Conference Swimming Championships at Brooke Natatorium. Individually Long won the backstroke in 53.59, while taking the 200 individual medley in 2:00.06. Mason Boggs, Justin Bailey, Abram Rettos and Long led the Beavers to a 4A win in the 400 freestyle relay (3:31.82).
