ST. CLAIRSVILLE — Beaver Local junior Landon Wheatley and Oak Glen junior Orien Bone won individual events at the Ohio Valley Athletic Conference Championship finals on Saturday. Wheatley, the indoor state champion, won the boys high jump by clearing 6-foot-6 at Red Devil Stadium. He repeated as the Columbiana County champion on Thursday. EAST LIVERPOOL — East Liverpool’s baseball team scored nine runs in the first inning to cruise to a 12-2 win over Wellsville in five innings on Friday.
