Police were called to a Sherman Street residence at 3:52 p.m. Thursday after an elderly man fell off the couch and was laying on the living room floor. The man said he was fine and just needed help getting up, but an ambulance crew was summoned to check him.
Jeri Stanley, South Lincoln Avenue, reported Aug. 10 a metal frog and shepherd's hook with a plant were stolen from her property.
An official from McKinley Elementary School reported at 10:52 a.m. Tuesday a woman continues to park in the school lot in reserved spots even after notes were left on her car and she was even told personally not to do so. Police determined the vehicle was registered to Robin Frank, who lives across the street from the school on Pritchard Avenue. An officer spoke to her husband, Garry, who said his wife only parks there at night, which police pointed out was not true. Mr. Frank noted school was not in session, but the officer told him that does not matter because the school does not want them parking there at all. Mr. Frank asked where his wife was supposed to park and was told to have her park in the driveway behind their house. Police said if this it happens again the vehicle would be towed at the Franks' expense.
