Buddy Hupp, Latta Road, East Palestine, reported at 9:33 p.m. Saturday Antonio Antonas had been at the house earlier and caused a fight with Emily Matthews. Antonas struck Matthews' chest, which Hupp did not like and he went after Antonas with the two men struggling in the driveway and the roadway. Hupp told deputies he got a gun out of his truck and fired off a round to the side to scare Antonas because he was afraid Antonas was attempting to run him over with his truck. Antonas left. Cheyenne Cooper, Antonas' girlfriend, said she could not go home because she was afraid Antonas would beat her when she got there. Deputies told her to find somewhere else to stay because they could not throw Antonas out because of something he "might" do. Hupp and Matthews declined to press charges against Antonas. Deputies went to Antonas' home, and he claimed he was assaulted by Hupp, Matthews and Cooper at the other house. Like the others, he appeared to be under the influence. He declined to press charges and said he was going to call a friend to get him for the rest of the evening.
Nicole Ward of Home Health reported at 3:09 p.m. Tuesday she was unable to locate Wilma J. Hillyer, Augusta Street, Kensington, at her home. There was a locked door inside the home and due to Hillyer's medical condition Ward was concerned. The fire department and deputies arrived, then Hillyer walked up. She had been to the grocery store with a friend.
John Dennis Bertschy, state Route 518, Lisbon, reported at 2:48 p.m. Tuesday he believed someone was in his garage. When deputies arrived Bertschy said he had checked his garage and found it secure with nothing disturbed. When he opened his house door, he found a UPS package between the storm door and the main door.
Jessica L. Jackson, Metz Road, Columbiana, reported at 5:09 p.m. Tuesday she left her home and at about 3:15 p.m. the dog warden came onto her property and broke into her garage. Jackson said the dog warden left a note on her door and took three of her dogs, which were inside her attached garage. Jackson told deputies they had to have picked the lock to have entered her garage and they did not have a search warrant or permission to enter. She claimed she had called the dog warden, but no one was answering the phone. She also was told she could call the county commissioners in the morning.
Tammy Ferguson, St. Jacob-Logtown Road, Center Township reported to dispatchers her nephew, Robert Cochran, assaulted her on Saturday at her brother's home. She did not want to press charges, but wanted Cochran removed from her brother's house. Deputies attempted to call Ferguson back multiple times, but she did not answer and had no voice mail set up.
Cody Adams, Center Avenue, Center Township, was warned about his dog barking at 12:27 a.m. Tuesday.
