A Feb. 22 preliminary hearing was set in Columbiana County Municipal Court for Tricia A. Watson, 34, Jones Drive, Salem, charged with intimidation and assault of a police officer. On Monday, Watson allegedly attempted to stop herself from being taken to jail by threatening police, kicking a wall in front of her causing her body to strike the chest of a police officer and push his back and head into the nearby wall behind them, and threatening she had HIV and was going to spit in the officer's face.
A pretrial was set for Watson for charges of criminal damaging and criminal trespassing. One charge was for allegedly trying to evade police by entering a vehicle in a driveway, where the residents did not know her. Another was for entering a home, arguing with the person inside and then breaking a window upstairs with a car jack.
Robert K. Barrett, 33, West Ninth Street, East Liverpool, was bound over to the grand jury on an assault charge. Barrett is accused of shoving a corrections officer in the chest, grabbing the portable radio microphone off the shirt of the officer and throwing it on Feb. 2 in the county jail.
A March 22 pretrial was set for Brian J. Styen, 33, Bell Road, Lisbon, cited with OVI second offense, OVI breath second offense and speeding.
Whitney Jean Barnes, 32, U.S. Route 30, Lisbon, was fined $700, had her license suspended for a year, credited with three days in jail, required to attend a three-day counseling program and ordered 30 hours community service for OVI first offense and assured clear distance.
Johnna D. Cozza, 38, West Martin Street, East Palestine, was fined $700, had her license suspended for a year, required 30 hours community service and ordered to attend a three-day counseling program for OVI first offense and speeding.
A Feb. 27 pretrial was set for Jose Palu, 23, West Third Street, Salem, charged with domestic violence for allegedly pushing Juana Pastor Perez to the ground, kicking her, pinning her to the bed and biting her on the forehead on Sunday.
A March 15 pretrial was set for Robert W. Stem, 39, West Seventh Street, Salem, cited with OVI first offense, OVI refusal with prior within 20 years and failure to control.
A March 29 pretrial was set for Christopher John Thomas, 33, Gavers Road, Hanoverton, cited with OVI first offense, driving under suspension and a headlights violation.
An April 9 pretrial was set for Dale E. Tindell, 34, Gibsonia, Pa., cited with OVI first offense, driving under suspension and speeding.
Cortni D. Rankin, 27, Cricket Lane, Columbiana, was fined $150, credited with 41 days in jail for assault. Rankin punched, kicked and attempted to strangle Justine Bowley at the Rogers Sale on May 30.
Amber L. Maraldo, 34, U.S. Route 30, Hanoverton, was fined $600, credited with seven days in jail and sentenced to 83 additional days in jail for two counts of obstructing official business, and one count each of possession of a drug abuse instrument and theft for shoplifting $217 in items from the Walmart toy, food, bedding and movie aisles on July 29. She additionally gave police a false name and information.
A March 22 pretrial was set for David W. Gamble, 22, Garfield Avenue, East Palestine, cited with OVI first offense, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, a tail lights violation and a seat belt violation.
James Baumgardner, 20, Cherry Valley Drive, Leetonia, was fined $350 and required 50 hours community service for underage consumption and obstructing official business for fleeing on foot from police in Columbiana.
Harry L. Ehrhart, 46, South Lincoln Avenue, Lisbon, pleaded no contest to assault and a sentencing hearing was scheduled for Feb. 20. While intoxicated on Tuesday, Ehrhart caused bruises to the right arm of Tammy Souders.
Andre L. Owens Jr., 19, Warren, pleaded no contest to possession of drug paraphernalia and a sentencing hearing was scheduled for Feb. 23. Owens had a bag of marijuana and a digital scale with white residue on Monday. He was fined $150 and had his license suspended for 180 days for the possession of marijuana charge.
Christopher B. Davis, 44, Green Street, Lisbon, was fined $250 and had his license suspended for 180 days for leaving the scene and texting while driving.
Paul E. Meyers, 42, East Chestnut Street, Lisbon, was fined $150, required 25 hours community service, credited with eight days served in jail and sentenced to two additional days in jail for aggravated menacing. On Dec. 24, Meyers threatened to harm Deputy Bret Grabman by using a firearm.
Jeffrey W. Winter, 51, South Lundy Avenue, Salem, was credited with a day in jail, sentenced to an additional 29 days in jail, fined $400 and required 20 hours community service for domestic violence and falsification. Winter backhanded and punched Kacey A. Rohaley on July 17. He also recanted a story after his girlfriend Rohaley was charged with domestic violence on June 12.
Scott A. Bratt, 34, Sprucevale Road, Rogers, was fined $250, ordered to pay $500 in restitution to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Wildlife and required 30 hours community service for failure to obtain permission to hunt, no hunting permit and no deer or wild turkey permit. An April 9 pretrial was set for Bratt, who is also charged with receiving stolen property for allegedly having on Jan. 21 a Dewalt table saw, which had been taken form a construction site on Tomahawk Drive, Negley on Jan. 19.
Kevin W. Weaver, 45, Kibler Road, New Waterford, was sentenced to five days in jail, fined $300, had his license suspended for 180 days, required 30 hours community service and ordered to pay $629 to Columbiana County for medical expenses for assault and possession of drug abuse instruments. While in the county jail on Sept. 2, Weaver struck and kicked Jedediah Hill all over his body. At the home where Weaver had been living with Natalie Dillon on April 19, deputies recovered several hypodermic syringes, a crack pipe, chore boy, burnt spoons and two small pieces of wax paper with narcotics on them.
Trina Jones, 19, Washington Street, Leetonia, was fined $400, had her license suspended for six months and required 50 hours community service for possession of marijuana, driving under suspension and a turn signal violation.
Branden R. Smith, 33, Monroe Avenue, Salem, was fined $150 and required 10 hours community service for driving under suspension.
Malik Robert Pullie, 20, Commerce Street, Wellsville, was fined $150 and had his license suspended for 180 days for possession of marijuana and a headlights violation
Charlotte McColligan, 20, Weirton, W.Va., was fined $150 and had her license suspended for 180 days for possession of marijuana.
Stephanie Williams, 30, South Street, East Palestine, was fined $100 and credited with three days served in jail for false alarms. Williams called 911 and claimed a man was running past her house threatening her, but at the time of the call, the man, Seth Williams, was actually at the police station waiting to provide a statement to police.
Barry Evan Green, 55, Pittsburgh, was fined $150 for lighted lights required amended from speeding.
Tammy L. Glenn, 53, Jefferson Street, Lisbon, was fined $100 for driving under suspension.
Ashley M. Stacey, 34, Chester, W.Va., was fined $100 for driving under suspension.
David Eick, 39, Paris, was fined $100 for disorderly conduct amended from assault for yelling and screaming at a soccer game in Minerva, grabbing Samantha Murphy by the neck and shoving her into her husband.
