Police were called at 12:25 a.m. Friday to the CF Bank in reference to an intoxicated man sleeping within the parking lot. Officers made contact with James M. Priest, who was found to be heavily intoxicated and sleeping on the side of the parking lot in the grass. Police were able to wake him up after several minutes, but Priest could not walk on his own. He was taken into custody and cited for disorderly conduct by way of public intoxication.
Police were called around 12:30 p.m. Saturday to a 10th Street home for a report of theft. Teresa Morris stated that someone stole her wicker rocking chair from her living room sometime between Thursday night and Friday morning, but had no idea who would have done so. No signs of forced entry or anything of evidentiary value were noticed by officers.
Police were called at 12:54 p.m. to JLS Clean Machines on Wells Avenue for a report of drug paraphernalia found at the car wash. A customer pointed out a syringe that was lying in a bay, to which the needle was disposed into a sharps container. Prior to leaving the car wash, one of the owners reported that there was damage to the automatic car wash dispenser. Video footage showed that about nine hours earlier, a black four-door vehicle with a sunroof arrived at the machine and appeared to have a cordless drill attempting to break into it. Officers found no visible front license plates or any identification on the white male subject, other than that he was wearing a long sleeve shirt, a ball cap and possibly shorts. Damage, however, was observed to the machine, which hindered its operation.
Police were called around 10:52 p.m. Saturday to the area of 13th Street and Anderson Avenue regarding a woman lying in the street with injuries, and according to the Columbiana County Sheriff's Office, the woman was hit by a car. Officers spoke with Patricia A. Adkins, who was lying in the road and had been injured. Adkins stated that her boyfriend's ex-girlfriend, Lynda S. Channels, 44, Erie Alley, and daughter Kathleen D. Channels, 23, Rolling Acres Road, New Cumberland, W.Va., assaulted her, dragged her outside, and purposely dragged her by vehicle by holding on to her arm while driving the car. Adkins stated that the younger Channels knocked on the door and her juvenile son answered. By that point, both Kathleen and Lynda rushed inside the home, assaulted Adkins, dragged her outside and dragged her beside the car by holding on her arm, causing further injuries. The boy told police that it happened the same way his mother explained. Both Lynda and Kathleen later arrived at the station to give their sides of the story, and were both cited for felonious assault, vehicular assault and aggravated burglary.
Police were called at 4:46 a.m. Sunday to the parking lot of Floors by Geoge on Wells Avenue for a report of an unresponsive and overdosed male in a vehicle. Officers found Nicholas D. Leavens, 25. of Koppel, Pa. breathing extremely shallow and unresponsive, and also observed an injection site on his left arm and blood spots on his shirt. Cena Mason reported that Leavens picked her up and asked her to drive before leaning the passenger seat back and overdosing, but stated that she did not witness him doing any drugs. Paramedics from Ambulance Services Inc. arrived at the scene and administered two doses of Narcan to Leavens before transporting him to East Liverpool City Hospital. Leavens was cited for drug abuse and inducing panic.
Spencer Kidder, Maple Avenue, reported at 9 a.m. Monday that his son's 20-inch red bike was stolen from his neighbor's garage, to which he stated he received permission to store the bike there but did not know the make or model of the bike that was stolen.
