A deputy was called to a residence on Winona Road, Winona, at 1:21 a.m. Friday because a man who had undergone brain surgery was having mood swings and acting aggressive to his caretaker. She was told the man would act this way until he gets on his medication and she needed to be more patient.

Sharon Ginnetti, Buck Road, Knox Township, reported her Ford Escape was stolen Thursday night after she left the keys in the SUV. Ginnetti had told her son to leave the keys in the vehicle because she intended to go back out, and that was about 7:30 p.m. Ginnetti fell asleep and when she awoke at 2 a.m. the SUV was gone.

Deputies were called to the Twin Oaks Trailer Court, state Route 45, Lisbon, at 3:17 p.m. Thursday because the ambulance crew needed assistance with a man who was found lying on the floor and confused. The man usually goes to the local Dunkin’ Donuts daily and two employees who were at the scene said they became concerned because they had not seen him in a week. The deputy helped while the man was transported to a local hospital to be examined.

Richard Noling, state Route 7, New Waterford, reported he was driving an ATV through a cornfield with his wife as a passenger about 5 p.m. Thursday when the ATV flipped over. Mrs. Noling hurt her arm and was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, while Noling suffered a bump on the head.

The United Church of Christ on Buck Road, Knox Township, was found broken into at 9:49 p.m. Thursday. Church representative Lee Kornick said he did not notice anything missing.

A resident of Laughlin Road, Wayne Township, reported at 5:48 p.m. Thursday two people forced their way into his home and took 90 Xanax pills and an unknown amount of blood pressure medication. It turned out none of this happened, and the man was later transported to a local hospital for a mental evaluation.

Donald Porter, Butcher Road, Salem, reported Thursday receiving a call from someone who asked him if he voted in the last election. When Porter replied yes, the caller hung up, leading him to believe this may be some sort of scam.

Diana Smith, Old Lincoln Way Highway, Madison Township, reported Thursday finding an open lunch box and items strewn about. The deputy was unable to contact the lunch box’s owner.

Robert Solomon, Butler Grange Road, Salem, reported Friday his daughter, Brittany Solomon, same address, had been given a car for school but he believes she has stopped attending school and he wanted to know his rights to the vehicle. Brittany Solomon told deputies the vehicle is registered to her and the loan for it is in her name. Her father was advised to contact the lender and have his name removed from the loan or to file a civil suit against his daughter.

Deputies responded Friday to Hawkins Road for a report of suspicious activity but checked the area and found nothing unusual.

A welfare check was conducted by deputies at a residence on Maple Street in Kensington, where they made contact with the man, who said he was fine.
