A Hazel Run Road, Salineville, woman reported at 6:35 a.m. Thursday a man named Ronald Woodburn was living on the property in a tent. Police found Woodburn in a hunting blind under a car port. He had a warrant for failure to appear and was taken into the custody.
Richard Faulkner, Hoopes Road, Salem, reported an overdose at 1:58 p.m. Wednesday. Winona EMA and KLG were on the scene when deputies arrived. Paul Faulkner was lying on the floor just coming to after being given a dose of Narcan. He admitted to snorting heroin. Another man, Luke Keck, had been sleeping in the chair beside Paul Faulkner, who had been lying in the bed. He was transported to SRMC.
Carol Farmer reported at 12:34 p.m. Wednesday someone was entering and removing items from a garage on state Route 45, Salem. Tommy Hart and Jay Altomare were reportedly responsible and Altomare approached deputies when they arrived to say they borrowed a jack to change a flat tire on Hart's vehicle. Scott Farmer said he was there when Hart was leaving and was told the same thing. Deputies told Farmer that if they find anything else missing after his father comes home to contact deputies again.
Shelly Simpson, Sunrise Drive, Lisbon, asked deputies to check on a neighbor, Becky Meredith, at 11:57 a.m. Wednesday. Meredith told deputies she argued with her boyfriend Virgil Garrettson and then he left to go to his brother's home.
Diana Babe, Steubenville Pike, Lisbon, reported at 11:48 a.m. Wednesday her son, Kalub Babe, moved out about a year ago and she has not seen him, but he comes into her home from time to time and takes things. When she contacted him he told her she owes him money for the taxes that she has collected while she claimed him over the years. He also called her all kinds of names and cussed at her. She has surveillance footage of him driving up, removing items, putting them into his car and driving away.
A woman at the Counseling Center, state Route 154, Lisbon, reported she had knowledge of a possibly suicidal 17-year-old girl at a home on Pancake-Clarkson Road, Negley. The ambulance from Negley was already there preparing her for transport.
