Independence Conservancy will conduct a community tire collection 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 22 at the Hookstown Fair Grounds, state Route 168, Hookstown, Pa.. Proof of residency not required. Individuals and small businesses welcome. No limit on tires. There is a cost to deposit tires, based on tire size. Checks accepted with ID. No early-birds.
