EAST LIVERPOOL -- Emmanuel Presbyterian Church will celebrate with a Mother's Day Tea at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Student Pastor Nancy DeStefano will deliver her sermon titled "Regrouping for the Gospel" during the 11 a.m. worship service. The Agape Choir will sing "You are Precious Lord to Me". A "Minute for Mission" for children at risk will be given by Elder Kathy Barker. Sunday school begins at 9:30.
EAST LIVERPOOL -- The First United Methodist Church, West 5th St., will celebrate Ascension Sunday during the 10:45 a.m. morning worship service. Rev. Larry S. Hukill will bring the message, "He Has Ascended Into Heaven" and the Scripture Lesson will be read by Diana Bickar. The choir will present the Anthem, "All Things Bright and Beautiful".
The UMW meets 8:30 p.m. Monday.
The Tuesday morning Bible Study begins at 10 a.m. and Boy Scout Troop 41 meets at 7.
The Bell Choir meets 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and the Choir at 7:30.
Thursday is the deadline for articles to be submitted for the June "Voice."
GLENMOOR -- The Glenmoor ECO Presbyterian Church, state Route 267 (Lisbon St.) will observe Mother's Day during the 11 a.m. service of worship. A special gift will be given to the women. Special music by an all-men's choir singing, "As the Sun Doth Daily Rise" and "Revive Us Again". Pastor Vel Vais' message is titled, "Remembering Mary" with the text from Acts 1:12-14. Sunday School begins at 9:30. Children's Church and Nursery Care are available during the service.
EAST LIVERPOOL -- The Rev. John Bower will be the guest speaker during the 10 a.m. worship service Sunday at Grace Presbyterian Church. His sermon title will be "Irresistible Grace (Effectual Grace). Mothers will be honored and Blanket Sunday will be observed. Jane Rose will take blood pressures following the service. Children's Sunday school is held during the service.
WELLSVILLE -- Lee's Chapel AME Church, Center St., Wellsville, will celebrate the annual Men / Women's Day at 3:30 p.m. May 20. Evangelist, Yvonne Henry of Mt. Calvary III Foundation of Truth Church, Cleveland, will be the guest speaker. Public welcome.
