In county Municipal Court, Erin A. Taggart, 24, West Perry Street, Salem, was bound over to the grand jury on a charge of tampering with evidence. Taggart allegedly threw and stuffed items inside her vehicle, pulled away from police and attempted to conceal or destroy hypodermic needles when she was under arrest on March 21.
Taggart was fined $300, credited with seven days served and sentenced to an additional 113 days for two counts of possession of drug instruments for syringes and a glass pipe on March 21 and charges of theft and obstructing official business. The last two charges were for stealing items from Walmart and for hiding from police in a closet on Jan. 19.
Nathan L. Kapp, 29, Kelly Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $1,175 and had his license suspended for a year, sentenced to 10 days in jail and required 30 hours community service for OVI second offense, speeding, possession of marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia.
Brandi R. Hedrick, 32, Irish Ridge Road, East Liverpool, was fined $775, had her license suspended for a year, ordered to attend a three-day counseling program and required 30 hours community service for OVI first offense and failure to move right for a public safety vehicle.
A domestic violence charge against Daniel Clark, 52, West Pidgeon Road, Salem, was dismissed after the prosecutor's office decided to no longer pursue the charge at this time. Clark had been accused of assaulting Michelle and Ian Clark as they attempted to gather belongings from the home on Oct. 24.
A May 30 pretrial was set for James L. Spurlock III, 22, state Route 170, Negley, charged with theft for allegedly taking Black and Mild cigars from the Rogers Food and Fuel in November.
An April 4 pretrial was set for Gretchen R. Walas, 35, Ravenna, cited with possession of drug abuse instrument for allegedly being found confused and disoriented in her vehicle at the Salem Tractor Supply on Wednesday while having two hypodermic needles, including on uncapped which she admitted to using to inject methamphetamines earlier in the day.
Derrick D. Dixon, 41, East Pershing Street, Salem, was fined $350, required 40 hours community service, credited with seven days in jail and sentenced to three additional days for resisting arrest and obstructing official business for allegedly refusing to keep his hands from his pockets and refusing to get into the patrol car while in handcuffs on March 22.
Eric S. Slagle, 27, Berry Road, Kensington, was fined $650 and required 60 hours community service for possession of marijuana, two counts of driving under suspension, a tail lights violation and faulty exhaust.
Jack T. Barrett, 32, Old Fredericktown Road, East Liverpool, was fined $200, required 30 hours community service and credited with a day in jail for theft for failing to scan seven items for a total of $26 at the Salem Walmart on Feb. 2.
Lucas Sims, 34, Thompson Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $150 for disorderly conduct for fighting with fellow inmate Nicholas Edwards in the county jail, striking Edwards in the face and biting him on the arm, which led to Edwards being transported to the Salem Regional Medical Center for his injuries on March 10.
Charles D. Lee Jr., 22, U.S. Route 30, East Rochester, was fined $150 for disorderly conduct amended from domestic violence for threatening his mother several times on Sept. 10.
Michael M. Nagel Jr., 34, Bell Road, Lisbon, was fined $150 for marijuana paraphernalia.
A May 28 pretrial was set for Virginia M. Wade, 62, Hazel Run Road, Salineville, cited with failing to maintain service on a septic system as ordered by the Board of Health.
Kayla M. Naylor, 24, McCann Road, Kensington, was fined $250 for a traffic control device violation.
Ronnie E. Colvin Jr., 29, Ohio Avenue, Salem, was fined $230 and required 30 hours community service for driving under suspension and a traffic control device violation.
A May 6 pretrial was set for Mitchell O. Lacey, 47, Bethesda Road, Hanoverton, cited with driving under suspension and speeding.
Jona R. Branham, 37, Salineville Road, Salineville, was fined $150 for no license amended from driving under suspension.
A May 2 pretrial was set for Latonya A. Patterson, 42, Youngstown, cited with driving under suspension and a tail lights violation.
A May 7 pretrial was set for Daniel A. Douglas, 23, Youngstown, cited with driving under suspension.
An April 30 pretrial was set for William R. Halligan, 53, state Route 45, Lisbon, cited with driving under suspension.
A driving under suspension citation was dismissed against Louis Joseph Scott, 29, West Ninth Street, Salem, after he was found to now be valid.
Daniel R. Germanovich, 44, state Route 45, Lisbon, was fined $150 for an equipment violation amended from speeding.
Nathan A. Quetot, 26, state Route 517, Lisbon, was fined $100 for lighted lights required amended from marked lanes.
