East Liverpool junior split end Dre’Keim Abercrombie was a bright spot in the Potters’ injury-riddled season.

Abercrombie is a first-team selection on the Ohio Prep Sports Media Association 2025 All-East District football team released today.

The 6-foot-4 Abercrombie was a big target for the 3-7 Potters. He had a team-high 40 catches for 641 yards (16.0) and nine touchdowns.

Three Beaver Local players received second-team honors — senior quarterback Wade Foster, senior running back Lane Jones and senior defensive back Luke Rettos — after a 6-4 season.

Foster was 102-of-203 passing (50%) for 1,403 yards and 17 touchdowns in his only season as starting quarterback. He als or ran for 673 yards and seven touchdowns on 105 carries (6.4).

Jones ran for 666 yards and five touchdowns on 107 carries (6.2) and had seven receptions for 60 yards (8.6) and two touchdowns.

Rettos had three interceptions and 27 tackles.

Receiving honorable mention were Beaver Local’s Nicolas McKenzie, Peyton Cowdery and Aiden Price and East Liverpool’s Maleek Goatley and Owen Davis.
