Malvern 11, Wellsville 6

WELLSVILLE — Malvern stopped Wellsville 11-6 on Thursday.

Ethan Morris had a single, double and an RBI for the Tigers. Tyler Landess, Austin Watkins and Leland Monte had two hits each.

Landess took the loss with three walks and a strikeout in four innings.

Wellsville is 3-19.

Chaney 10, Southern 3

SALINEVILLE — Youngstown Chaney sent Southern to a 10-3 loss on Thursday.

Mason Pitts paced the Indians with three hits. Braden Rhodes added two hits. Brody Brown took the loss with six strikeouts and a walk in four innings.

Southern (2-15) hosts Heartland on Monday.

Lisbon 10, Leetonia 9

LEETONIA — Lisbon scored nine runs in the sixth inning to squeak out a 10-9 win over Leetonia on Thursday in Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference play.

Marc Moore had four hits with three RBIs for the Blue Devils, 11-8, 6-5 in the EOAC. Nick Peruchetti had three hits and an RBI.

Logan Sturgeon got the win with nine strikeouts and four walks in five innings.

C.J. Faulkner took the loss with a strikeout and walk in 1 2/3 innings of relief. Jason King had a hit and two RBIs for the Bears.

Lisbon hosts Liberty today.

Leetonia (5-11, 4-8) hosts Heartland today.
