RAYLAND — Freshman Addie Thurik did it all for Beaver Local on Saturday.

Thurik struck out 19 batters and drove in four runs on four hits, including three doubles, in leading Beaver Local past Buckeye Local, 7-1.

She gave up one earned run over seven innings on three hits and two walks. She struck out 10 different Panthers.

Thurik hit two-run doubles in the second and third innings to help the Beavers take a 6-0 lead.

Tatum Duncan doubled, singled and scored two for the Beavers. Lora Reeder also had two hits and scored two runs.

The Beavers (11-2) will play at Southern on Tuesday.

Chaney 7, Lisbon 2

LISBON — Gracie Stankorb’s two-run home run in the first inning put Youngstown Chaney on its way to a 7-2 win over Lisbon on Saturday.

Lexi Roush doubled, singled and drove in a run for the Blue Devils. Marah Householder also had a double and Sofia Brown drove in a run.

Kamryn Peruchetti took the loss, allowing four earned runs on seven hits in four innings. She struck out three and walked two.

Lisbon (5-11) will host East Palestine today.
