Potters blanked by Buckeye
RAYLAND — Buckeye Local’s Dominic Kempton was perfect Saturday.
Kempton tossed a perfect game as Buckeye Local blanked East Liverpool, 11-0, in five innings. He struck out six.
The Panthers jumped out to a 9-0 lead in the first inning after three-run singles by Haydn Boyce and Jordan Kovalski.
Nate Birch took the loss, giving up nine earned runs in 2/3 of an inning. He allowed five hits and three walks. Blake Adkins pitched 3 1/3 innings, giving up four runs, two earned, on four hits with three strikeouts and three walks.
East Liverpool (1-11) will host Brooke today.

Malvern 5, Wellsville 1
MALVERN — Cameron Good went 3-for-4 and earned the complete-game victory in Malvern’s 5-1 decision Saturday.
Good gave up one earned run on nine hits over seven innings with eight strikeouts and two walks.
Wellsville scored its only run in he top of the first inning on Landon Ramsey’s groundout.
Ramsey took the loss, holding the Hornets to two earned runs and nine hits over six innings with four strikeouts and three walks.
Cooper Frank doubled and singled for the Tigers and Leland Monte had two singles.
