Pearson homers but Potters fall to Brooke

EAST LIVERPOOL — Trinity Pearson had a single, double and home run with two RBIs but East Liverpool fell to Brooke12-2 in five innings on Monday at Patterson Field.
Kylee Evans added two hits for the Potters, 0-16.
East Liverpool is scheduled to play at Youngstown Chaney today.

NEW MANCHESTER, W.Va. — Beaver Local’s baseball team registered its second win of the season by besting Oak Glen 3-2 on Monday.
Braxton Hickman had a single, triple and an RBI for the Beavers, 2-9. Paxton Grimes had two hits from his lead-off position. Andre Wiegand and Matt Anderson had doubles.
Grimes struck out 17 and walked none in the winning effort on the mound.
Christian Chappell had two hits and an RBI for Oak Glen. Noah Willey was the losing pitcher with four strikeouts and no walks in seven innings.
Oak Glen is 7-12. The two teams play again today at Beaver.

Wellsville 12, Southern 2
WELLSVILLE — Ethan Morris, Tyler Landess and Jay Paige had a single and double each to lead Wellsville to a 12-2 win over Southern in five innings on Monday.
Paige also recorded three RBIs.
Landess was the winning pitcher with seven strikeouts and four walks in five innings.
Jaylen Pitts and Ethan Richards had hits for the Indians.
Brody Brown was the losing pitcher with five strikeouts and no walks in two innings of work.
Wellsville is 2-9 and 1-6 in the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference. Southern is 1-8 and 0-5 in the EOAC.
Wellsville hosts Madonna today.
Southern hosts Wellsville on Wednesday.
