CALCUTTA — Quintin Taylor had a two hits including a double as United snuck by Beaver Local 5-3 on Tuesday.
Parker Newburn was solid on the mound for the Eagles as he registered eight strikeouts and one walk in the complete game win.
Mikey Druschel had two hits for Beaver, while Isaac Dailey had a double.
Andre Wiegand took the loss with four strikeouts and a walk in four innings.
Beaver Local (0-2) is at East Liverpool today.
United (3-2) hosts Wellsville today.

The Wildcats also beat the Potters 10-0 on Saturday.
Brady Haught had 10 strikeouts for the winners.

NEW MANCHESTER, W.Va. — Christian Chappell had two hits and four RBIs to lead Oak Glen to a 13-3 win over Wellsville in six innings.
Lucas Zoellers had a single and triple with two RBIs, while Cam Carter had two hits and two RBIs for the Bears.
Ethan Wedgewood was the winning pitcher with eight strikeouts and no walks.
Landon Ramsey had a single and triple for the Tigers.
He also took the loss with six strikeouts and four walks in four innings of work.
