Beavers blast Creek
WINTERSVILLE –Beaver Local’s softball won its fifth straight with an 8-2 win over Indian Creek on Wednesday.
Addie Thurik struck out 13 while walking two to lead the Beavers, 9-2.
Brylee Curtis had a double, two singles and an RBI for the Beavers. Thurik had two doubles and two RBIs. Ciara Call added two hits and Ally Wright had a single, double and two RBIs.
Beaver Local hosts Buckeye Local today.

EAST LIVERPOOL — Harrison Central tamed East Liverpool 13-0 on Wednesday.
Trinity Pearson had two hits for the Potters, 0-12.
Addie Jones was the losing pitcher with two strikeouts and seven walks.
East Liverpool is at Brooke on Friday.

East Palestine sweeps Wellsville
UNITY– Kennedy Andre drove in seven runs and picked up two wins on the mound as East Palestine swept Wellsville, 14-6 and 12-3, in Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference play Wednesday at Ace of Diamonds.
Andre had two hits and five RBIs in the opener. Maddison Foster and Taylor Foster also had two hits each.
Andre had nine strikeouts and two walks on the mound as well.
Madelyn Landess had a double for the Tigers. She also took the loss with six walks and three strikeouts in four innings.
In the second game, Andre and Taylor Foster had two hits and two RBIs each. Maddison Foster added a hit and three RBIs.
Andre was the winning pitcher with five strikeouts and a walk.
Presley Stokes had two hits and an RBI for the Tigers. Makayla Landess was the losing pitcher with five strikeouts and a walk.
East Palestine is 5-5 and overall and 2-3 in the EOAC. They will host Campbell on Friday.
Wellsville is 5-4 overall and 2-4 in league play. The Tigers will host United for a doubleheader at 4 p.m. Friday.

Oak Glen doubleheader
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — A pair of teams from New York state downed Oak Glen on Wednesday at the Ripken Experience.
Oak Glen lost to Moore Catholic junior varsity out of Staten Island 4-2. Addie Smith had three hits for the Bears, while Riley Bruce, Danica Holden and Maddie Murray had two hits each. Neveah Heath had a double.
Holden took the loss with four strikeouts and four walks in six innings of work.
Cicero-North of Syracuse scored a 7-3 win in the other game.
Addie Smith had two hits to lead Oak Glen. Mikalyn Balch had a double.
Mattie Carney took the loss with 10 strikeouts and two walks in seven innings.
Oak Glen (16-8) will play Webster Thomas of New York today in Myrtle Beach.

SALINEVILLE — Southern’s softball team bested Leetonia 24-7 on Wednesday.
Raelea Carosiello had two hits including a double for the winners. Southern walked 19 times. Gianna Pecorelli had three RBIs.
Addy Martin was the winning pitcher with four strikeouts and five walks.
Southern is at Wellsville on Monday.
