Edison tops E. Liverpool
RICHMOND — Edison junior Bryce Rogers tossed a no-hitter in blanking East Liverpool, 10-0, in six innings Saturday.
Rogers struck out 11 and walked one.
He aided his cause by driving in two runs and scoring another. Evan Kimmerle doubled and singled and Kayden Russell added a double.
East Liverpool starter Cooper Klein took the loss, giving up eight runs on six hits in 1 1/3 innings. He walked four.
East Liverpool will travel to Beaver Local today.

Minerva 7, Beaver 1
MINERVA — Aiden Thomas scattered three hits and one run in six innings and Braydon Wood pitched a perfect inning in relief to give Minerva a 7-1 win over Beaver Local at Carl Michael Field on Saturday.
Beaver Local took a 1-0 lead in the top of the third inning as Andre Wiegand singled home Isaac Dailey.
The Lions scored in four straight innings to pull away.
Brennan Barnes doubled and singled, while Julian Dunbar had two singles and two RBIs and Owen Frazier singled twice. Kaden Kandel scored twice and drove in two more runs.
Minerva will host Tuslaw today.
