NEW MANCHESTER, W.Va. — Oak Glen’s softball team dropped its second straight with a 14-6 loss to Wheeling Park on Tuesday.

Oak Glen is 2-2 and has split a pair with the Patriots.

Danica Holden led the Bears with a single, triple and two RBIs. Riley Bruce added two hits. Mattie Carney took the loss with five strikeouts and two walks in 4 2/3 innings.

Oak Glen will host Beaver Local today.

SALINEVILLE — Southern Local suffered a 19-3 loss to East Canton in five innings on Tuesday.

For the Indians (0-2), Gianna Pecorelli had a double, single and an RBI. Brenna Frishkorn added a triple.

Makenna Jones took the loss with two strikeouts and seven walks in three innings.

Southern hosts Lisbon on Monday.

CALCUTTA — Beaver Local’s jayvee softball team bested Columbiana 12-0 in five innings on Tuesday.

Brenna Jones, Mya Anderson and Lilly Wright had three hits each for the Beavers. Calleigh Eells got the win in the circle with seven strikeouts.
