Tigers rock Dogs
EAST PALESTINE — Wellsville’s football team captured its second straight Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference contest with a 35-0 win over East Palestine on Friday.
Wellsville is 2-1 and 2-0 in the EOAC while East Palestine fell to 0-4, 0-2.
Isaiah Greathouse had touchdown runs of 43 and 19 yards to open the scoring in the first quarter.
Garrett Krzyston caught a 16-yard touchdown from Valen Krzyston for the Tigers’ other first quarter score.
Gavin Kountz scored a touchdown on a 15-yard run to extend the Tiger lead to 28-0.
Richie Dowling’s 2-yard run with 4:26 left in the second quarter capped the Tigers’ scoring.
Greathouse led the rushing attack with six carries for 99 yards. Valen Krzyston had nine carries for 40 yards.
Defensively Tanner Rambo had four tackles for the Tigers with one tackle for a loss. Kasen Ramsey added three and a half tackles including two solo.
Owen Jurjavcic had 61 yards on 13 carries for the Bulldogs.
Wellsville entertains rival Southern on Friday, while East Palestine hosts Lisbon.

COLUMBIANA — Southern Local roughed up Columbiana 48-12 on Friday in Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference play.
Southern is 3-2 and 2-0 in the EOAC, while Columbiana falls to 1-4, 0-2.
The Indians are at rival Wellsville on Friday as the team plays five out of its last four on the road.
Columbiana hosts United next Friday for its second to last home game of the season.

Oak Glen 7
NEW MANCHESTER, W.Va. — Point Pleasant scored 35 points in the second half to pull away from Oak Glen for a 42-7 win Friday.
The Big Blacks improve to 3-1, while the Golden Bears move to 1-1.
Point Pleasant led 7-0 at halftime before scoring 14 points in the third quarter and 21 points in the fourth quarter.
Oak Glen scored in the third quarter as Dylan Conley had an 88-yard touchdown pass from Landon Beatty.
The Golden Bears had 254 total yards, including 129 on the ground and 126 through the air.
Conley ran 16 times for 108 yards to go along with the 88-yard touchdown catch.
Beatty completed two of four passes for 126 yards with an interception, the only turnover of the game.
Hunter Rhoades hauled in a 38-yard reception. Matt Greenlief had 20 yards on five carries and Tyler Davis added a 1-yard run.
Oak Glen will host Beaver Local at 7 p.m. Thursday.
