Beaver Local picks up 23rd golf win of the season

EAST LIVERPOOL– Beaver Local boys golf took down Wellsville 160-220 at Cedar Hills on Tuesday to move to 23-0 on the season.

For the Beavers, Luke Eyster had a 35, Sky Pappas 38, Logan Ours 43 and Landen Cameron 44.

For Wellsville, Luke Green had a 39, Casey Lemasters 50, Rocco Desarro 64, Marco Desarro 67.

The Beavers will next head to sectionals on Monday.

East Liverpool at Wellsville

EAST LIVERPOOL — East Liverpool’s boys golf team topped Wellsville on Monday in regular season play.

East Liverpool shot 172 as a team. Wellsville was short of a full team.

For the Potters, Nate Kelly had a 35, Cameron Payne 42, Preston Dawson 47 and Jake Smith 48.

For Wellsville, Luke Green had a 43, Casey Lemasters 59 and Rocco Desarro 68.

Toronto 192, Oak Glen 216

TORONTO–Oak Glen fell to Toronto on Tuesday 192-216 at Dyer Country Club.

For Toronto, Hunter Keenan had a 46, Ty Suffoletta 48, Brennan Suffoletta 49, Ethan Masters 49

For Oak Glen, Sean Adkins had a 52, Brady Chaney 53, Garret Wright 54, Logan Weekley 57

East Liverpool 173, Buckeye Local 180, Indian Creek 187.

RAYLAND–East Liverpool golf defeated Buckeye and Indian Creek on Tuesday in a triangular at Becwood.

For the Potters, Nathan Kelly had a 41, Cameron Beverly 43, Paxton Grimes 44 and Preston Dawson 45.

VOLLEYBALL

United 3, Lisbon 1

LISBON– United volleyball defeated Lisbon 25-15, 25-15, 26-28, 28-26 on Tuesday.

For Lisbon (3-8), Eliza Baker had 16 assists and five points. Justyce Vrabel and Cami Freeland had eight kills. Mya Emmerling and Brooke VanGeisen had eight points each.

For United (10-3), Tori Tschappatt had 16 kills, 10 points and six aces. Savannah Burton had 10 points and seven kills, Hannah Congo had seven kills and seven points and Haley Dees added 33 assists and five points.

In jayvee action, Lisbon defeated United 25-22, 25-19.

For Lisbon, Brooklyn Cousins had six points.

For United, Samantha Lippiatt had four aces and three kills.

Lisbon will take on East Palestine next at home on Thursday.

Southern 3, Leetonia 0

LEETONIA — Southern Local pounced on Leetonia, 25-11, 25-11, 25-14 on Tuesday.

For the Indians, 5-7, Kya McCulley had 14 points. Rylee Mellott added 13 points and 15 assists. Ashley Shroads had 11 points and eight kills.

Leetonia won the reserve match, 8-25, 25-21, 25-23. For the Indians, Aleah Bach had 14 points. Laryn Jackson had five kills. Esther Forbes had five assists.

Oak Glen 3, Indian Creek 2

NEW MANCHESTER, W.Va. — Oak Glen’s volleyball team topped Indian Creek in five sets on Tuesday.

For the Golden Bears, Alayna Kranis had 23 kills, six digs and five aces. Ashlyn Six had 10 kills. Rory McNutt had five kills and three blocks.

Gracie Wright added 39 assists and five aces, while Sydney Smith had 10 digs and three aces.

EAST LIVERPOOL — East Liverpool’s girls tennis team defeated Beaver Local 5-0 on Monday to move to 10-1.

EAST LIVERPOOL — East Liverpool’s girl tennis team suffered their first loss of the season Tuesday, falling 3-1 to Claymont. They finish the regular season 10-2.

SECOND SINGLES: Arianna Terakedis (CL) def. Mallory Barnhouse, 7-6, 6-4
